Die Robert Bosch Stiftung leistet ab diesem Herbst einen aktiven Beitrag, um dem Trend entgegenzuwirken, dass Hochschulabsolventen Griechenland den Rücken kehren. Dazu soll ein Wissenstransfer im Bereich „Kulturmanagement“ stattfinden – in Form eines mehrstufigen Fortbildungs- und Stipendienprogramms. „stART – Jugendkutltur in Griechenland“ ist nun angelaufen. Es qualifiziert griechische Hochschulabsolventen zu internationalen Kulturmanagern, die sich mit innovativen Jugendkulturprojekten auseinandersetzen sollen.

„Ziel des Programms ist es, die Eigeninitiative von Berufseinsteigern im Kulturmanagement zu fördern, Jugendlichen kulturelle und gesellschaftliche Partizipation zu ermöglichen und den Zusammenhalt in Europa zu stärken“, beschreibt die Stiftung das Programm. Das besonders gute: Die Interessierten können sich in Deutschland weiterbilden und nachhaltige Vernetzungen aufbauen. Die Projekte werden dann in Griechenland realisiert – und das alles ordentlich gefördert.

“stART” is a training and fellowship program for Greek graduates seeking an advanced level of qualification in international cultural management. The program supports up-and-coming cultural managers who wish to start youth culture initiatives in their local communities. The aim of stART is to promote individual initiative among young people in Europe.

stART is a program of the Robert Bosch Stiftung conducted in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut Thessaloniki and the Bundesvereinigung Soziokultureller Zentren e.V. (German Network of Community Art Centres).

What does stART offer?

By applying to stART you will have the opportunity to be one, out of up to 30 fellows travelling to Germany in fall 2015 in order to take part in a:

– 2 week training program in Berlin and Stuttgart, offering capacity building in project management, public relations and fundraising

– 4 week job shadowing, offering first hand insight into the work of Community Art Centres and cultural initiatives in Germany, including the possibility of organizing a small scale youth culture project with a budget of up to Euro 1500 being provided

Having successfully completed the capacity building program you are eligible to apply for one, out of 12, half-year fellowships, starting December 2015,

Which will offer you the opportunity to:

– Start your own youth cultural initiative in Greece, with a project budget of up to Euro 10 000 being provided, which shall be supplemented by further funds raised by yourself

– Take part in the closing festival and present your project to a broad public and possible future sponsors

All stART fellows will receive a monthly subsistence of Euro 800. In addition, accommodation in Germany will be provided through the program. The program language is English.
